Aurora Signage Warranty Statement

1.0 Warranty Scope

1.1 The warranty scope applies to LED display products purchased from Aurora Signage Pty Ltd. The warranty terms set out in this document are in addition to any conditions or warranties which may be implied by law, including but not limited to Australian Consumer Law, and which by law cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.

1.2 The warranty period is determined by the range of product purchased from Aurora Signage, as detailed by the table below;

1.3 The warranty period begins from the date on which the Products are shipped out from the Seller’s warehouse, except for otherwise stipulated in the warranty cards attached to the Products.

1.5 These Warranty Conditions may be amended, updated or varied by the Seller from time to time. The Seller will notify the Buyer in writing within seven days of any changes, alterations or additions to warranty service if affecting current projects and these will apply to all future sales transactions between the Seller and the Buyer. For any deployed sites and confirmed sales, the warranty terms applicable at the time of sale apply and any amendments to this warranty statement will not affect the previous warranty terms, unless otherwise communicated in writing by Westan.


2.0 Warranty Type

2.1 Aurora Signage extends two types of warranty services as detailed below;

2.2 Return-to-base warranty where it is the buyer’s responsibility to remove and return failed components from an Aurora LED screen installation to an authorised return location. Current authorised return locations include:

2.3 On-site Warranty where Aurora will organize an authorised technician to perform the necessary maintenance on LED displays in the event of quality issues detailed in the next section. In order to determine the correct course of action, the customer agrees to provide detailed photos, videos and fault reports to Aurora Signage or its distributor.

3.0 On-site Warranty

3.1 Aurora commits to a maximum of one business day to respond to service tickets when lodged. Response may include a request for further information and/or a plan or schedule for executing onsite service.

3.2 On-site warranty is triggered under the following agreed conditions:

* Can vary depending on the use and function of the display. Any variations will be confirmed prior to sale. 

3.5 All other issues must be qualified by our support team before a decision is made to dispatch a technician.

4.0 Items not covered as part of on-site warranty

4.1 In the event that Aurora has coordinated installation of the LED, on-site warranty will cover issues related to installation hardware issues.

4.2 In the event that Aurora has not installed the LED, on-site warranty only covers issues specific to hardware, not installation or defects from improper installation.

4.3 Where the LED is mounted more than 1.8 metres above the ground or where the LED requires use of scaffolding, boom lift or other equipment to access the display, on-site warranty does not cover the provision of such equipment. Safe access to the LED must be provided by the Buyer.

5.0 Conditions not covered by parts repair warranty or on-site warranty

5.1 Damages or malfunctions caused by improper use, incorrect handling, incorrect operation and/or incorrect installation or disassembly of an Aurora LED screen.

5.2 Man-made physical damage, accidental damage while installed, unless caused by Aurora in the event that Aurora has coordinated the LED installation.

5.3 Damage or malfunction caused by “Force Majeure” events.

5.4 Products used in conditions or environments not meeting product parameters.

5.5 Normal loss of colour and/or brightness under normal environmental conditions / normal wear-and-tear.

5.6 Product malfunctions caused by player and content issues.

5.7 Damage arising due to improper initial scope of works.

5.8 In the event that the Buyer chooses to take responsibility of spare parts storage and parts are consequently lost, stolen or damaged, Aurora may be unable to complete its warranty obligations through no fault of its own. In these instances, both the on-site warranty and repair of parts warranty components will be deemed voided.
