BDL3117P - SDM-L Android SW Re-Image using USB A to USB A cable
Warning
As the Android SW is re-imaged, any existing app and configuration that's been done will be erased and reset
SDM-L Android SW Re-Image involves pressing a small button on the SDM-L Hardware itself
This necessitate the removal of the Philips BDL3117P SDM-L cover
Preparation
Buy a USB-A to USB-A Cable
A list of where you can buy them from
Remove the SDM-L slot cover from BDL3117P
Connect the USB-A to USB-A cable to your computer and the OTG port on the SDM-L
Download The AndroidTool, Windows Driver and the IMG File
Unzip the file if you download it zipped
Install the DriverAssistant Windows Driver on your computer
Locate DriverInstall.exe under DriverAssistant_v4.5 directory
Run DriverInstall.exe
See diagram below
When finish, click OK
Performing the SW Re-Image
Locate AndroidTool.exe under AndroidTool_Release_v2.71 directory
Run AndroidTool.exe
Select Upgrade Firmware
Click "Firmware" to choose the .IMG file downloaded
Locate and select the latest IMG file, SDB801-10.0-HDMI-T-P20230817.img
The Firmware area will show the .img file you've chosen
Hold the Upgrade Key below and turn on the BDL3117P using the remote control
The AndroidTool SW will now show "Find one loader device"
Click Upgrade
Wait until Re-Image Complete
Done - you can now disconnect the USB A Cable
Install the SDM-L slot cover back onto BDL3117P
