BDL3650Q - FORCED Firmware Update Procedure
Whenever possible, use the normal Firmware update procedure.
ONLY if you can't get into the android menu you should use this procedure.
Download the latest forced update MstarUpgrade_9638.bin to a PC from https://westanonline.sharepoint.com/:f:/s/Support/Eu40CAgP3QxFnvbI2cy54skBRqIw8PkuMvfGawq1BiP29Q?e=bN0Pvp
Copy the MstarUpgrade_9638.bin file to the root directory of a USB stick formatted in FAT32.
Procedure:
1. Plug in the USB drive to the screen.
2. Power On the Screen (from the main switch - not the remote).
3. While the screen boot up, continue pressing the "INPUT" button on the key (behind the screen)
4. Screen will show upgrade in progress.. Wait until this process complete.. (if not, begin from step 2 again)
Some USB drives do not get detected by the screen. If the screen fails to recognise the update file, try a different USB drive.
Verify the firmware has been updated by pressing INFO, 7, 7 buttons on the remote. (after you pass the initial setup screen)
