BDL3550Q - Clone Process for OnQ


Prepare USB Drive with the Clone content 

Prepare USB flash drive formatted in FAT32 format (preferably 16 GB) 
Download USB content from one the link below

Copy them to the USB Drive as follow


Prepare OpenVPN Profile files from OnQ (unique per screen)

Call OnQ support to get the OpenVPN Profile files
They need to be told, which shop these screens are for

Put the Profile files into the USB Drive prepared in previous step

Prerequisite

BDL3550Q FW need to be FB02.07 or later
The FW version is written on the Box of the screen



Cloning Process (takes about 5 minutes)


Connect Power

Connect Network Cable

Connect the USB to the screen


Click Start

Select "Clone media files from USB storage"
Select "Next", press OK


Select "Import Signage Display Settings from USB"
Select "Next", press OK


Click "Finish"


Wait for 4 minutes for the cloning to complete





Enable Ethernet


Press Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 to go to Android Menu
Select Network and press "OK"


Select Ethernet and press "OK"


Enable Ethernet (if it can't be enabled, make sure that ethernet cable is connected properly and also connected to a working network and try again)


Configuring OpenVPN

Press Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 to go to Android Menu

Select Apps and press "OK"


Select "OpenVPN for Android"


Navigate to the Add sign by pressing "up", "up", "right", "ok"


Click the Minimize below


Click Import


Navigate to "/mnt/usb/... " and click "OK"


Choose an unused .ovpn profile for the screen.
Label the screen's box with a white label with the .ovpn profile filename (this will help them to understand which screen goes where)
Navigate to the associated .ovpn setting file for the screen
Then navigate down to the "Select" button
Click "Ok" on the remote


Navigate to the "tick" sign on the top right corner
Click "OK" on the remote


You'll be brought back to this screen,
Select the correct vpn profile under the profile tab and press the "OK" button to begin connection


OpenVPN should try to establish the connection. Once done, press "back" to go to the main OpenVPN Menu


Press Back to go to the main OpenVPN Menu
Navigate to the "Edit" logo on the right
Click "Ok" button on the remote


Navigate to "Allowed Apps" tab
Enable "VPN is used for all apps but exclude selected"
Enable "Allow apps to bypass the VPN"
Enable "Host"
Enable "OnQ CMS"




Press "back" button on the remote to go back to the main OpenVPN menu
1. Navigate to "Settings" tab
2. Select "Default VPN"
     Choose the VPN connection profile you've just imported
     Click the "OK" button on the remote to confirm
3. Navigate to "Keep VPN connected"
     "Tick" the checkbox to enable it
     When a pop-up window open, navigate to "OK" and click "Ok" on your remote button to confirm


Press "back" until you exit OpenVPN

Get OnQ support to remote into the screen and configure the app


Call OnQ support for them to Teamviewer into the screen to configure the app.
They need to be told, which shop these screens are for

Screen will show this page
Tick - Always allow from this computer
Click "Ok"


Configure Timezone, Schedule (usually doesn't need to be changed), Orientation

Once Content appear on the screen, Configure:

Time Zone

Home->Advanced option->Date and Time


Select the appropriate time zone and hit OK to save it


Schedule (usually doesn't need to be changed)

Go back to Home->Advanced Option->Schedule


Ensure the Schedule start and end time is correct
Ensure Input is set to the correct source, Custom for OnQ App
Days of the week are all ticked
Every week is ticked
And most importantly, schedule is enabled
Click Save


Orientation

Navigate to Home->Configuration 2->System rotation


Set the appropriate Orientation
