Video signal
The older model
- HDMI and DVI are being looped through via DVI Out
- Display Port are being looped through via DisplayPort Out
The newer model
- HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort are being passed through via DisplayPort
Connecting the two models
If your input signal is HDMI/DVI, then you can put the older model screen first, then connect the older screen DVI-Out to the newer model DVI-In and let it loop through via DP-In/Out to the rest of the new screen.
The other alternative is using an HDMI splitter and connecting to all the screens individually to their HDMI-In
If your input signal is DP, then you can connect the older model's DP-Out to the newer model's DP-In
Serial Control Connector
The older model
- Serial control connector is looped through via 2.5mm serial interface
The newer model
- Serial connector is looped through via RJ45 Data interface.
Connecting the two models
The older model comes with a 2.5mm to Male DB9 cable
The newer model comes with female DB9 to RJ12/45 adaptor

You can connect the serial control in the following manner:
To replace the old with the new X line when using the source HDMI input on the first display.
Set the new, replaced display in the last position of the daisy chain, or change the daisy chain to DP after the replaced display, see the picture below.
To replace the old with the new X line when using the source DP input on the first display
Just replaced the display(s); it might be in any position because the daisy chain was done via DP. See the examples below.
