CMND Reception - Installation & Troubleshooting Guide

For a full guide, refer to the CMND Reception Manual that can be downloaded from cmnd.io website

Licence Registration Process

  1. Purchase CMND Reception License from Westan and obtain a Location Activation Code (LAC). It may take up to five business days to receive the LAC.
NOTE: The LAC is valid only for one year at the moment. If you ordered a multi-year licence, the licence needs to be renewed each year. Let us know when the licence is about to expire so that we can renew the licence for the next year.
  2. Use the LAC to submit the onboarding form at https://pms.cmnd.pro/.
    1. Scroll down to CMND Reception section and click on “Chose this PMS”.
    2. Select “I have already purchased a licence key and have a Hotel Key” and click on Next.
    3. Enter LAC and site information, agree to T&Cs and click on Next.
  3. The software activation code will be emailed to the email address used during registration (step 2.3). It may take up to three business days to receive the activation code.

Configure CMND application

  1. Create a Reception user role/account by going to Admin > Users.
NOTE: The Reception user account does not have permissions to log in directly to the CMND application.

  2. Go to Admin > Licence section ⇒ enter the software activation code ⇒ click on “Request Licence” to activate the licence.
  3. Go to Admin > PMS section ⇒ turn on the PMS setting ⇒ set “PMS Type” to CMND.

Configure CMND Reception

  1. Download CMND Reception software from cmnd.io.
  2. Right-click on the downloaded file ⇒ click on 'Run as administrator' ⇒ follow on-screen instructions to install CMND Reception application.
  3. When installation has completed, double-click on CMND Reception icon on the desktop to run it.
  4. Click on the Settings icon (in the bottom-left corner) ⇒ go to SI Settings > CMND Connection ⇒ enter the IP address of the CMND server, and username and password for the Reception user account ⇒ click on Submit to connect with CMND application.
NOTE: Even if the CMND application has been installed as a localhost application, you still need to specify the CMND server's IP address in CMND Reception.
