Fusion Signage Installation Guide for xxBDL3550Q

Connect the Screen to the Internet

Fusion Signage is a cloud base signage solution.
A reliable connection to the Internet is required to ensure that it work properly.
  1. Enter Android Menu (Press: Home1888 [within 2 seconds])
  2. Select Network
  3. Select Ethernet

  4. Press OK to enable Ethernet.
  5. Press the Back button on the remote control (RC) several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.
Wi-Fi is an optional feature, Wi-Fi can only be enabled when an external Wi-Fi USB dongle is inserted.

Download Fusion Signage Software

  1. Download Fusion Signage APK v2.0.6 from this link https://westanonline.sharepoint.com/:u:/s/Support/EYxRXyNNfzZfv75yZGcSC9kBojdT1OBhsPyoOzhT9vpiLA?e=TgkLMI
  2. Copy the .apk file to the root directory of the USB Drive

Install Fusion Signage Software

  1. Insert USB drive to the bottom USB port on the side I/O panel:

  2. Enter Android Menu (Press: Home1888 [within 2 seconds])
  3. Select Apps
  4. Select File Manager
  5. Select USB drive
  6. Select the Fusion Signage .apk file and press OK ⇾ select Open and press OK ⇾ Install
  7. If the following message pops up, select Settings.
  8. Set Allow from this source setting to On ⇾ press the BACK button to go back to the Fusion Signage installation screen.
  9. Select Install to install Fusion and once installed, select Done.
  10. Press the BACK on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.

Assign Fusion Signage as the "Custom" Input Source

  1. Enter Android Menu (Press: Home1888 [within 2 seconds])
  2. Navigate to Settings ⇾ Signage Display ⇾ Source Settings ⇾ Custom App ⇾ Select App ⇾ press OK
  3. Select Fusion Signage from the popup list of apps, the select Save.
  4. Press the Back button on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.

Set Date & Time

  1. Press the Home button to access the screen menu
  2. Navigate to Advanced option ⇾ Date and time, press OK
  3. Ensure Auto Sync setting is ticket.
  4. Select the correct time zone.


Configure Screen's Non-Android Settings

Set the screen to automatically turn on after an unplanned power outage:

  1. Press the Home button to access the screen menu
  2. Configuration 1 ⇾ Switch on state = Force On
  3. Configuration 1 ⇾ Boot on source = Action, press OK ⇒ Input = Custom
  4. Advanced option ⇾ Power Save = Mode 1
  5. Advanced option ⇾ Off Timer = Off


Running Fusion Signage

  1. Option 1 - Running Fusion Signage by Power OFF/ON screen to autoload app
    Once all the steps above have been action-ed, power off/on the screen with the remote control to complete the installation and auto-load the app.
  2. Option 2 - Running Fusion Signage Using The Source Button
    Press the Source button
    Navigate to Custom ⇾ press OK
    Fusion should start, if it doesn't, review the steps above

Pairing Fusion Signage Screen

  1. When you run the Fusion Signage app that hasn't been paired with an account, you'll see the following screen with the unique 'Identity' required to pair the screen.
    If the Identity value is blank, that means that Fusion Signage App can't reach the cloud server. Please confirm that your network connection is working and can access the internet.

Open  http://app.fusionsignage.com.au/  and login to your account ⇾ Click on Screens from the left panel ⇾ Click on Add Screen button (in the top-right corner) ⇾ enter the Identity code shown on the Philips screen.

[OPTIONAL] Schedule screen to turn on and off automatically

Home ⇾ Advanced Option ⇾ Schedule ⇾ Action



You can configure up to seven schedules.
To enable the configured schedule, you must  TICK the box for  Enable setting.
For Fusion Signage,  Input must be set to  Custom.


(Ensure the screen’s date and time settings are correct as per instructions above)

The screen must be physically mounted as follow


Ensure that Fusion's Custom Orientation is set to default


Press the OK button on the remote control to bring up Fusion Menu on the screen



Press OK to confirm.
Press back all the way to exit the Fusion Settings menu

Set  the Screen's System Rotation to Portrait


Home ⇾  Configuration 2⇾  System Rotation⇾  Action ⇾  Portrait



If the screen has been mounted in the wrong orientation, the picture will appear upside down.
You must correct the screen physical orientation to correct this.
