Fusion Signage Installation Guide (Philips with built in Android player)

Installing Fusion Signage on Philips Android Screens


Connect to a network with open access to the internet
(REQUIRED FOR FUSION SIGNAGE TO WORK)

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8)

Select “Network”


Select your chosen interface (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)


Select “Enable”

If Wi-Fi, select your network SSID from available list, enter password, and select Connect (use List/Adjust to move cursor between buttons on popup box)

Press “Back” on the remote control (RC) several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.

 

Prepare USB for Fusion Signage APK installation

Download Fusion Signage APK from this link https://api.fusionsignage.com.au/v1/application/latest_apk
OR
Login to the Fusion Signage portal using your provided credentials and browse to: Settings -> Download APK

Copy the .apk file to the root directory of the USB Drive, insert USB drive to the rearmost USB port on the screen:

 

Install Fusion Signage app

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8)

Select “Apps”


Select “File Manager”


Select “mnt” -> Open












Select “usb storage” -> Open

Select the Fusion Signage .apk file -> Open - > Install

When installation is complete, select “Done”

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.

 

Assign Fusion Signage to the “custom” input source

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8)

Select “Settings”


Select “Signage Display”

Select “Custom App”

 

Select “Select App”


Select Fusion Signage from the popup list of apps, the select “Save”

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.

 

 

Set Date & Time

(REQUIRED IF USING SCHEDULING)

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8)

Select “Settings”


Select Date & Time

Press: Right NAV and select “Select time zone”

 

Select your local time zone

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.


Set screen to automatically turn on after an unplanned power outage.

Home -> Configuration 1 -> Switch on state = Force On

 

Set screen to boot to the Fusion Signage app when turned on

Home -> Configuration1 -> Boot on source -> Action

Input = Custom

 

Set power mode of screen

Home -> Advanced option -> Power Save = Mode 1

 

Power OFF/ON screen to auto load app

Once all the steps above have been actioned, power off/on the screen with the remote control to complete the installation and auto-load the app.

 

The app should load and show an identifier, ready for pairing with your Fusion Signage portal.

 

[OPTIONAL] Schedule screen to turn on and off automatically

Home -> Advanced Option -> Schedule -> Action


Configure power scheduling accordingly as per screen user manual

(Ensure the screen’s date and time settings are correct as per instructions above)

 The "Every Week" tick box must be ticked to ensure that the schedule is run in perpetuity, otherwise it will only run once (1 week)

[OPTIONAL] Tiling multiple screens in a video wall configuration

Connect other screens using DVI-D daisy chain

Home-> Advanced Option -> Tiling -> Action


Configure all screens accordingly as per screen user manual.
