HFL4x14 RepairGuide MainBoard Replacement Latest

Useful info:

1. You need a Philips remote control with numeric buttons

2.       See position of main board in service manual in the link below [Download]

3.         Important remote sequence:

Factory Menu	Home 1999 back
Professional Menu	319753mute
SAM Menu	062596OK(or info) Professional Menu must be set to off. Professional Menu->Professional Settings->Professional Mode=Off
CSM Menu	123654

        

Steps:

1.       Install new Main board

2.       Turn screen on

3.     If the TV shows Factory Mode message on the top left

       

      Guest remote with Digit: press 0,1,9,9,9,back to change the mode.

      Light Green Service Remote:

            - Press RC6 Guest (to change the remote mode to RC6 Guest)

            - Press 0,1,9,9,9, back

       you'll get the following message

      

4.   Perform NVM Reset the TV to the correct model to make it show the correct model and also behave correctly

5.       Changing  Model and S/N

       Using Guest remote with Digit

      Turn professional mode off

          Press 319753mute->Advanced ->Professional Mode=Off

                 Choose SKIP INSTALLATION (OTHERWISE THE TV WILL RESET ITSELF)

          Press the BACK button repeatedly to exit from the Professional menu

      Go into the SAM Menu

       Press the TV button to change the Source to TV

       Press this sequence to go into SAM Menu: 0,6,2,5,9,6,OK (if this doesn't work try 0,6,2,5,9,6,i+)

       

        Press Continue to continue

 Go to NVM Editor  (If all the options are greyed out, please exit SAM Menu and go back in into SAM Menu again)

 Go to Service Data

 - Type Number is the Model of the TV - this should've been set correctly by the NVM Reset procedure (eg. 28HFL4014T/12, 32HFL4014, etc) (Verify with the label behind the TV)

 - Production Number is the Serial Number of the TV - please set this to the correct value (i.e. FZ.....) (See the label behind the TV)

 Press back many times to quit the SAM Menu

      Turn professional mode on:

       Press 319753mute->Advanced ->Professional Mode=On

       Press back many times to exit the Professional Menu

      Using   Light Green Service Remote

      Turn professional mode off

       Press RC6 Setup

       Press the double Cog symbol (between the House[filled] button and House[hollow] buttons)

            

       Navigate to  Advanced ->Professional Mode=Off

                 Choose SKIP INSTALLATION (OTHERWISE THE TV WILL RESET ITSELF)

       Press the BACK button repeatedly to exit from the Professional menu

 

      Go into the SAM Menu

       Press RC6 Guest

       Press the TV button to change the Source to TV

      

       Press 0,6,2,5,9,6,OK (if this doesn't work try 0,6,2,5,9,6,INFO/CSM)

       

        Press Continue to continue

 Go to NVM Editor  (If all the options are greyed out, please exit SAM Menu and go back in into SAM Menu again)

 Go to Service Data
