How to Set Up and Troubleshoot Slideshow Playback on Your Philips Q Line Display

  1. File Compatibility:
    • Ensure that the USB device contains media files in the correct formats supported by the Q Line displays. Supported media formats for videos include MP4, AVI, and MOV. For images, supported formats are JPEG, PNG, and BMP.
  2. File Structure:
    • Create a folder named "philips" in the root directory of the USB drive. Inside the "philips" folder, create subfolders named "video", "photo", and "music" as needed.
    • Place media files (images and videos) in their respective folders within "philips" (e.g., "philips/photo" for photos and "philips/video" for videos).
  3. Auto-Play Settings:
    • Go to the TV settings using the remote control. Navigate to “Settings” → “Media Player” and select “Autoplay”.
    • Enable autoplay for photo, video, or both, depending on the type of slideshow desired. When this setting is enabled, the display will automatically recognize and play content from the USB device.
  4. Playlist Setup:
    • If a specific sequence is required for the slideshow, use the Media Player's “Compose” option to create a playlist. Assign files to a specific playlist and save it.
    • Ensure that the playlist and files are named according to the convention outlined in the manual, such as "mpplaylistX.txt" (where X is the playlist number).
  5. USB Device Specifications:
    • Confirm that the USB device is within the size specifications. For example, the maximum size for a USB stick should be 20mm (width) x 10mm (height) x 60mm (length).
  6. Test the Setup:
    • Insert the USB drive into the designated USB port on the Q Line display.
    • Navigate to the Media Player application and select the appropriate playlist or simply let the autoplay function start the slideshow.

If the above steps are followed and the USB device still isn't recognized, try formatting the USB drive to FAT32 or exFAT format and ensure that the files are not corrupted.
