Steps:
1. Download the latest .bin file from the following
link
2. Prepare a USB Drive (formatted as FAT16 or FAT
32)
3. Copy the .bin file to the USB Drive’s root directory
4. Insert the USB Drive into the USB port on the side I/O port of the screen.

86BDL3050Q – insert the USB disk into the third USB port, the first row near the rear cover, as picture 1.
55BDL3050Q,
49BDL3050Q – insert the USB disk into the second port from top to bottom, as picture 2.
5. Power cycle the screen (from the main)
6. Screen will detect the USB file with the .bin
file inside. The IR indicator light will flash red and green for
about 5 minutes until the Philips logo appear
If
the upgrade didn’t occur (IR indicator doesn’t flash red and green for 5
minutes), try different USB Drive.
8. Press menu+1999+back to get into
Factory Menu
9. Set Burn In to Off (to get rid of Color cycling)
10. Factory Reset -> OK
