RK3576_MT9800_D xxBDL5050D - Firmware Update Procedure

Set the display to power save mode 4 (in "advanced option" menu) BEFORE APPLYING THE FW UPDATES.


In the root of a USB flash drive (FAT32), copy the combofw.zip.
Do not unzip the file!

The combofw.zip file will flash the scaler and afterwards the android firmware.

  1. Press in sequence "Home, 1, 8, 8, 8" to enter Admin Mode, then click "settings".  
  2. Plug-in the USB flash drive into the monitor.
  3. Select "signage display" -> "system updates" -> "local update"                                        
  4. Select the combofw.zip file from the list and press ok. 
  5. Scaler firmware will be flashed:                                   
  6. Once finished, the display will reboot.  Installing system update will be displayed with a progress bar.  The display will now install the android firmware and will reboot again once finished.
  7. Once finished, press in a sequence on the remote control: "info 7 7", a window will be dispalyed, verify if the firmware versions number are correct.
