Setting up TB6 with 128x128 Bracket

The PC with NovaLCT and ViPlex Express installed sends the control commands, parameters, and configuration files to the multimedia players via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.

Direct connection to TB6 via Ethernet or Wi-Fi


  1. Direction connection via Ethernet cable
    1. The control computer is directly connected to the multimedia player via Ethernet cable.
    2. This method requires that DHCP must be enabled on the multimedia player and you must choose Plug-in > DHCP Service in NovaLCT, select the IP address of the PC and turn on the DHCP Service switch.
  2. Direction connection via Wi-Fi
    1. The control computer is directly connected to the multimedia player via Wi-Fi AP.
    2. When the multimedia player has built-in Wi-Fi AP, you can use this method without the need for configuration.

Connecting to TB6 via Wired or Wi-Fi LAN


  1. Wired LAN connection
    1. The control computer and multimedia player are connected to the same wired LAN via Ethernet cable.
    2. If this method is used, configuration is not required.
  2. Wireless LAN connection
    1. The control computer and multimedia player are connected to the same wireless LAN via Wi-Fi.
    2. This method is available when the multimedia player supports Wi-Fi Sta. The DHCP of the multimedia player must be enabled. You must log in to the multimedia player with the configuration software (such as ViPlex) and connect the player to the Wi-Fi AP of the router on the network configuration page.

  1. Open NovaLCT.
  2. On the menu bar, choose User > Media Player Login.
  3. In the Terminal List dialog box, click Refresh.
  4. Select a multimedia player from the list and click Connect System.
    If the terminal and NovaLCT are not on the same network segment, but they can be pinged, click next to Refresh, select Specify IP, enter an IP address and click Search.
  5. Enter the username (default: admin) and password (default: 123456), and then click OK. NovaLCT will show display information.

Configure the screen


  1. On NovaLCT menu tiles, choose Screen Configuration.
  2. In the Screen Configuration dialogue box, select Configure Screen and click Next.
  3. In the next Screen Configuration dialogue box, click on the Screen Connection tab. 
  4. Click on Configur button on top right corner.
  5. Under Basic Information section, click on Reset All.
  6. Click on the grey tile.
  7. Adjust the Width and Height of the bracket.
  8. Click on the grey tile again and it will turn pink.
  9. Click on Send to HW.
  10. Click on Close. 

Configure Media


  1. Open ViPlex Express.
  2. Select a multimedia player from the list.
    If the terminal and ViPlex Express are not on the same network segment, but they can be pinged, click next to Refresh, select Specify IP or Specify IP Range, enter an IP address information and click Search.
  3. On the menu bar, click on Terminal Control.
  4. Click on Playback Management.
  5. Under Local Solution List, select a pre-installed video and click Play.

Troubleshooting:


If the bracket is not displaying the picture, check
  1. ViPlex Express ⇾ Terminal Control ⇾ Brightness adjustment = 100%
  2. ViPlex Express ⇾ Playback Management ⇾ View Screenshot (should show a screenshot of the playback media)
  3. Upload correct RCFGX files
