xxBDL4150D (Himalaya 2.0) Scaler FW Upgrade with USB
Checking the Scaler Software Version if it is already running the latest scaler version V1.145)
press the home button on the RC, select configuration 2, select Monitor Information
Check if the Scaler SW version is V1.145
If it is lower than 1.145, then proceed with performing the SW update.
Downloading the FW File
Download the correct Firmware file from the following link
file names must be the same as the model:
example for model 75BDL4150D the filename must be : 75BDL4150D.bin
Otherwise firmware upgrade won’t work.
Copy the bin file to an USB disk (FAT32)in the root directory and insert the USB stick into the monitor,
see the blue USB marker in below pictures for each model.
Inserting the USB onto the Screen
Performing the update
Enter factory mode by pressing this buttons on the RC in a sequence：Menu, 1, 9, 9, 9, back
Select Main Board update, the monitor will update FW by itself, after successful, the monitor will ask for it to reboot. (power cycle the screen)
Turning Burn in to Off
If Burn in is set to On, turn it off
Enter factory mode by pressing this buttons on the RC in a sequence：Menu+1999+back
Set Burn in to Off (so the color cycling stop)
Checking the Scaler Software Version
Check if firmware has been upgraded: press the home button on the RC, select configuration 2, select
On the right monitor information, the firmware version must match the installed version.
