xxHFL2889 Reset TV back to First Time Installation

Overview

The Reset TV option is available only in the Normal TV Menu when Hotel TV Mode is disabled.
To be able to get the TV SW Version we need to:
- Turn Hotel Mode off
- Invoke First Time Installation

Getting the SW Version Using Normal TV Remote control

xxHFL2889 TV remote is different to most other Philips HFL TV Remote and BDL remote
Ensure that you are using the correct remote control


Steps:

- Turn Hotel Mode off

  Go to Hotel TV Menu (3,1,9,5,7,3 mute)
  Turn Hotel Mode off
  Exit Hotel TV Menu

- Invoke First Time Installation

   Press House Button->Installation->First Time Installation

Getting the SW Version Using Light Green Philips Service Remote control


Steps:

- Setup the Light Green Service Remote to RC5 xxHFL2889 codes

   Press RC5 Guest, then press 1 and A simultaneously

- Turn Hotel Mode off

  Press the middle double cog button to bring up the Hotel TV Menu
      
  Turn Hotel Mode off
  Exit Hotel TV Menu

- Invoke First Time Installation

  Press House Button->Installation->First Time Installation

  Press the left House button -> Installation->First Time Installation
      
   SW Version can be seen under either "Software upgrade" and "Application Version"
   Exit Normal TV Menu when done

- Setup the Light Green Service Remote to RC5 NON xxHFL2889 codes

   Press RC5 Guest, then press 1 and B simultaneously
