USB Autoplay

With the USB Autoplay feature, the screen automatically plays image/video files when the screen is powered on or when the USB drive is re-inserted into the screen.
To use this feature, the photo/video files need to be stored in certain directory location in the USB Drive and named in a certain way.

If you need to play different content at different time of the day or different day of the week, you may want to explore the USB Playlist feature, which is slightly more complex than USB Autoplay feature (https://support.westan.com.au/portal/en-gb/kb/articles/bdl3117p-usb-playlist)

Media File

The USB Autoplay uses the Screen's media player.
It supports both video (MP4) and image file (baseline JPEG).
However, including video into the playlist introduces 1s gap between playing one media to the next.
For best outcome, it's recommended to only play JPEG media files

Baseline JPEG

JPEG file are compressed using progressive and non progressive (baseline/standard) compression.
Progressive compression takes longer to load where the baseline/standard is much faster.

If you're not certain if your JPEG file is a baseline JPEG or progressive, it's easiest to edit the JPEG file using Microsoft Paint, then save it again which should save it as baseline JPEG

Playing Portrait Content

The Internal Media Player only support landscape Video.
If you're mounting the screen in Portrait, you need to rotate it 90 degrees anti-clockwise
To make the portrait image being shown in the right direction, you need to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise
The easiest way to rotate the image is by editing it in Microsoft Paint, and rotating it 90 degrees clockwise

See the images below to be able to understand the
