BDL3650Q - Video Wall Setup

Maximum size of video wall is 3x3
BDL3650Q doesn't have any video output port, the video source need to be distributed to all screens using HDMI splitter

Note:

This guide shows you the steps required to set-up a video wall

      A.   Overview

 

Some tasks (eg. To set unique monitor id for each screen and SW update) are best done when the screens are not yet mounted and wired up.

It’s best to do the tasks in the following order:

-          Update the SW to the latest SW (best done prior to mounting)

-          Configure Unique monitor IDs for each screen (best done prior to mounting and wiring)

Other settings can also be done prior to mounting the screen on the set. (easier)

-          Mount the screens by taking notes of the “Mounting Tips & Requirements”.

-          Connect the Video cable, IR cable, RS232 Cable and IR Extender

-          Setting up tiling and other configuration if you haven’t done so prior to mounting.

Procedure on how to configure the remote to control specific monitor id is also included.


 

      B.   Update the SW to the latest SW (best done prior to mounting)

 

To check the current SW on the Screen, press the info,7,7 button on the remote control.

Update the SW if they’re not the latest version (see below)

 

      C.   Configure Unique Monitor IDs for each screen (best done prior to mounting)

 

Press [Home]->[Configuration 2]->[Monitor ID]= (Set a unique monitor id)

Note:

Usually numbering start from the top left, to the right, then to the next row, etc.

Example:


      D.   Setting up Tiling and Other Configuration

Press [Home]->[Configuration 1]->[Switch on state] = Force On
Press [Home]->[Configuration 1]->[Boot on Source] = video source
Press [Home]->[Configuration 2]->[Monitor Id] = As per C
Press [Home]->[Configuration 2]->[Logo] = Off

Ensure the edge are not pressing against each other as this may cause the screen to fail 

 

      F.    Connecting the Video cable

BDL3650Q doesn't have Video Out interface, so you need to use a splitter to distribute the video signal to all screens.

 

      G.   How to Control A Screen with Specific Monitor ID via IR Daisy Chain

 

Setting the remote to a specific ID:

1. Press [ID] button on the RC until the red LED blinks twice.

2. Press [ID SET] button for more than 1 second to enter the ID Mode. The red LED lights up. (If you Press the [ID SET] button again will exit the ID Mode. The red LED lights off.)

3. Press the digit numbers [0] ~ [9] to select the display you want to control. For example: press [0] and [1] for display No.1, press [1] and [1] for display No.11. The numbers available are from [01] ~ [255].

4. Press [ENTER] button to confirm. The red LED blinks twice and then lights off.

NOTE:

• Press [NORMAL] button. The green LED blinks twice, indicating the display is in normal operation.

• Press [ID] button. The red LED blinks twice, indicating the display is in ID operation.
