BDL4152E - FORCED Firmware Update Procedure
Whenever possible, use the normal Firmware update procedure.
Use this SOP ONLY for:
- If you can't get into the android menu you should use this procedure.
- You need to change the Firmware from AOSP (non-Google Play enabled) to EDLA (google play enabled) version and vice versa.
Downloading the Android SW update file
AOSP - non Google Play version - Default mode Version
- aml_upgrade_package.img
- aml_sdc_burn.ini
- EP9471E_(TPV_4152E)_V0_07_240603.bin
to the root folder of the USB storage formatted in FAT32.
EDLA- Google Play version

- aml_upgrade_package.img
to the root folder of the USB storage formatted in FAT32.
Performing the Forced Update Procedure:
1. Insert the USB drive to the USB interface behind the screen.
2. Power Off the Screen from the Main
3. Press and hold the "Input" Button on the keypad and then Power On the Screen (from the main switch - not the remote).
4. Continue holding the "INPUT" Button until the screen displays upgrade information.
5. System will automatically restart once the upgrade is complete
Some USB drives do not get detected by the screen. If the screen fails to recognise the update file, try a different USB drive.
Check the current FW Version
Go out from the initial setup screen pages.
Verify the firmware has been updated by pressing INFO, 7, 7 buttons on the remote.
Update the HDMI Firmware (AOSP version)
The HDMI Firmware file is "EP9471E_(TPV_4152E)_V0_07_240603.bin" downloaded in "Downloading the Android SW update file" step earlier
Press Home 1999 back to go to the factory menu
The current FW version is shown under "HDMI Switch 1/2 FW version"
Select HDMI Switch 1 Upgrader
Select Switch FW - choose EP9471E_(TPV_4152E)_V0_07_240603.bin
Upgrade
When finish
Select HDMI Switch 2 Upgrader
Select Switch FW - choose EP9471E_(TPV_4152E)_V0_07_240603.bin
Upgrade
REMOVE The USB DRIVE from Behind the screen
