25 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty – for Australia and New Zealand
- Verdanté
products purchased in Australia or in New Zealand are covered under a
twenty-five year limited lifetime warranty against defects, provided by
Westan Australia Pty Ltd (40 111 699 819) for Verdanté products
purchased within Australia and by Westan (NZ) Pty Ltd (9429 0363 85874)
(hereafter “the Westan Group”) for items purchased within New Zealand.
- Our products
come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law
or New Zealand Consumer Law, as well as other laws guaranteeing certain
conditions, warranties and undertakings, which give you legal rights in
relation to the quality and fitness for purpose of products sold within
your region. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major
failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or
damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if
the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount
to a major failure.
- Subject to
these rights, the Westan Group warrants your Verdanté products to be
free from defects in materials or workmanship for 25 years under normal
use.
- All warranty
periods commence from the date of the invoice from the Westan Group to
you.
- The
purchaser presenting a warranty claim must present a copy of the invoice
or bill of sale from an Authorised Westan dealer as proof of purchase
verification. Westan reserves the right to reject the warranty claim if
the Purchaser is unable to present the original of such invoice or bill of
sale if required.
- Products
returned under warranty will be replaced with goods of the same type,
where possible. Replacement does not extend or restart the Warranty term.
- This
warranty is provided on a back-to-base basis. This means that you are
responsible for delivering the Verdanté product(s) to the closest Westan
warehouse at your cost and at your risk, unless transported by the Westan
Group or its authorised representatives. The Westan Group will not be held
liable for any damage caused to the product(s) while in transit.
- The Westan
Group undertakes responsibility for freight for the return of repaired
product or replacement product to you at our cost.
- If no fault
is found and the product is determined to be in proper working order, the
Westan Group will return the Verdanté product to you and may seek
reimbursement of any costs incurred, including in labour and transport.
Exceptions
- The express warranties set out above do
not apply:
- If the claim is made outside
the region of original purchase (either Australia or New Zealand);
- If the Verdanté product has
not been installed, operated, maintained or used in accordance with the
maunfacturer’s instructions or specifications provided with the product;
- Where the damage, defect or
other issue is as a result of alterations, accident, misuse or abuse of
the product. This includes damage incurred from: fire, flood,
thunderstorm activity or any other unreasonably extreme environmental
conditions; acts of God; the use of incorrect hardware such as screws and
bolts; excessive force applied during installation or setup; unauthorised
alterations, repairs or tampering to the product; or exposure to any
other condition known to cause damage by an external force;
- Where the defect or other
issue with the product is caused by normal wear and tear;
- If damage arises out of
transport of the goods from you to another site;
- To replacement or repair of
any consumables such as screws or lost parts and accessories;
- To any failure or damage
caused by the collapse or failure of any mounting surface such as a wall
or ceiling, where the surface is not strong enough to safely handle the
weight of the Verdanté product and object mounted to or otherwise
held by the Verdanté product.
- This warranty does not cover any expenses
associated with removing or uninstalling the original product, or
reinstalling the repaired or replaced product.
- In no event will the Westan Group be
liable for any claims or damages relating to any other goods combined with
the Verdanté products, or for loss of profit, economic or financial
losses, damages, consequential loss,
loss of opportunity or benefit, loss
of a right or any other indirect loss suffered by you or your end user in
connection with the Verdanté products supplied.
Warranty Claim Process
To
make a warranty claim to the Westan Group, please ensure you have the following
information:
- Proof of
purchase (copy of invoice or point of sale receipt);
- An image and
description of the fault;
- Contact
details of the claimant.
Visit
the Westan Support Help Centre at www.support.westan.com.au as
soon as possible to lodge a ticket and initiate the warranty claim. The Westan
Technical Support team will usually respond within four working days, and
claims are expected to be completed within one month of ticket lodgement
dependent on availability of replacement parts or product, prompt return of
product to a Westan warehouse and freight timings.
