xxHFL3011 - Setup Guide - Standalone

This guide shows you the basic steps required on your xxHFL3011 models to ensure it runs the latest Software and also covers common steps required to be done with new TV sets such as “Tuning in Channels” and “Setting the default TV channel every time the TV turns on”

Note:
For brand new site:
- For 1st TV, do step A-E
- For subsequent TVs, do step H

A. Update TV to the Latest SW

Follow steps in the following article

B. Virgin TV SW Update and Initial Settings

1. Turn the TV On, you’ll see the “Instant Initial Cloning” Page
2. Plug the USB into the TV (USB is located at the back of the TV)
3. Software Update will happen automatically. Wait until it finish (approximately 5 minutes). 
4. Wait for the TV to restart, unplug the USB, then press “Skip” on the on screen display.
5. Language = [English] (press OK to move to next page)
6. Country = [Australia] (press OK to move to next page)
7. Picture Style = [Natural] (press OK to move to next page)
8. Professional Mode = [On] (press OK to move to next page)
9. Room ID = [00000 – 99999] (set correctly) (press OK to move to next page)

C. Tuning In Channels

1. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” within 2 seconds)
2. Navigate to the [Install Channels] -> [Channel Installation] -> [Search for Channel]
3. Select [Re-install Channels], Press [OK]
4. Select [Australia], Press [OK]
5. Press [Start] (this will take sometimes.. usually over 5 minutes depending on area)
6. When finish, click [Done]

D. Recommended Settings

1. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” within 2 seconds)
2. Set [General Settings]->[Sound]->[Advanced]->[Maximum Volume]=30
3. Set [Switch On Settings]->[Channel]->[Switch On Channel]= 70
4. Set [Switch On Settings]->[Feature Settings]->[Switch On Feature]= None
5. Set [Switch On Settings]->[Sound]->[Volume]->[TV Speakers]= 30
6. Set [Feature Settings]->[Room ID] = (Set accordingly)
7. Set [Feature Settings]->[Date&Time]->[Date&Time Source]=Automatic-Channels
8. Set [Feature Settings]->[Date&Time]->[Date&Time Source Channel]=70 (same as Switch On Channel’s channel)
9. Set [Feature Settings]->[Date&Time]->[Timezone Country]=Australia
10. Set [Feature Settings]->[Date&Time]->[Timezone Region]=Victoria (or as appropriate)
11. Set [Feature Settings]->[Switch Off Timer] = Lower it all the way to 0 (Off)
12. Set [Advanced Settings]->[Professional Mode] = On
13. Set [Advanced Settings]->[Power]->[Standby Mode]=Fast
14. Set [Advanced Settings]->[Power]->[Auto Standby]= (Hotel room-On, other area - off)

E. Creating TV Clone File (exporting config to USB)

1. Put a USB Drive (formatted as FAT32 with allocation = 64kilobytes) into the TV
2. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” within 2 seconds)
3. Navigate to the [Upgrade and Clone Settings]->[USB Based Upgrade and Clone]->[Clone TV to USB]->[Clone All]

F. Applying TV Clone File (importing config from USB)

1. Put a USB Drive with clone file (for the same model and SW version) into the TV
2. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” within 2 seconds)
3. Navigate to the [Upgrade and Clone Settings]-> [USB Based Upgrade and Clone]-> [Clone USB to TV]

G. Reset The TV

1. If you need to reset the TV to start from the very beginning, this is the step.
2. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” in 2 seconds)
3. Navigate to the [Advanced Settings]->[Reset]->[Re-install TV]->[Yes]

H. Fast Tracking TV Install with SW Update and Clone folder

If you have the SW Update file and Clone Folder (generated by step), for the subsequent TV:
1. Put both SW Update [Step A] and Clone folder [Step E] in the root directory of a USB Drive (formatted in FAT32 and allocation=64kb)
2. Insert USB in TV
3. Power on TV.
4. TV Should update SW and automatically pick up the clone file.
5. Open up the Professional Menu by pressing remote sequence (“3,1,9,7,5,3,mute” in 2 seconds)
6. Set [Feature Settings]->[Room ID] = (Set accordingly)
