INF5720 No Audio : Troubleshooting Tips

 INF5720 has two options for sound:
  1. The internal speaker
  2. The external RCA output jacks.
Windows will automatically install drivers for video in this display but they are the incorrect video drivers. Since the audio is on the same board as the video there is no sound if the incorrect video driver is installed on Windows 10.

If the PC is on WIndows 10, then run the following app to correct the video driver:

With the correct video driver installed, there should be two options for sound in the sound control panel
  1. INF-Display sound
  2. Realtek
In the On Screen Menus if,
  1. The Audio Source is set to PC speaker, then the correct driver to select in the sound control panel is RealTek (this is an analog driver)
  2. The Audio Source is set to Mondopad, then the correct driver to select in the sound control panel is the INF-Display sound.
Further troubleshooting tips:
  1. Check the volume level of the MondoPad using the remote
  2. Check the volume control in Windows 10
  3. Check the volume control in the app being used to play sound
  4. It is possible that the internal speakers to stop working and it is also possible for the external RCA ports to stop working, but it is very unlikely that both will go out at the same time.
