Klipsch Limited Manufacturer's Warranty

  1. Westan Australia Pty Ltd (40 111 699 819) (hereafter "Westan") acts as a distributor for the manufacturer of Klipsch products. Westan offers this warranty against defects for Klipsch products purchased within Australia under the following conditions.
  2. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, as well as other laws guaranteeing certain conditions, warranties and undertakings, which give you legal rights in relation to the quality and fitness for purpose of products sold within your region. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
  3. The conditions contained in this warranty are applicable to purchases made within Australia only by a Westan-authorised reseller and override any international warranty. Any false verbal or written representation of region of purchase will void the warranty claim.
  4. Klipsch Authorised Service Centres undertake to repair any defective parts in the product supplied which are due to defective workmanship within the warranty period.
  5. All warranty periods commence from the date of the invoice from Westan to you.
  6. The purchaser presenting a warranty claim must present a copy of the invoice or bill of sale from an Authorised Westan dealer as proof of purchase verification. Westan reserves the right to reject the warranty claim if the Purchaser is unable to present the original of such invoice or bill of sale if required.
  7. Products returned under warranty will be replaced with goods of the same type, where possible. Replacement does not extend or restart the warranty period.
  8. This warranty is provided on a back-to-base basis. This means that you are responsible for delivering the Klipsch product(s) to the closest Westan warehouse at your cost and at your risk, unless transported by Westan or its authorised representatives. Product should be delivered to a service facility authorised by Premium Audio Company either in its original packaging or similar packaging offering an equal degree of protection. Westan will not be held liable for damage caused to the product(s) or loss while in transit.
  9. Westan undertakes responsibility for freight for the return of repaired product or replacement product to you at our cost.
  10. If no fault is found and the product is determined to be in proper working order, Westan will return the Klipsch product to you and may seek reimbursement of any costs incurred, including in labour and transport.
  11. Klipsch products distributed by Westan Australia Pty Ltd are covered by the following warranty period:
  1. Ten (10) years: Heritage Speakers
  2. Five (5) years: Passive / Professional / Outdoor Speakers
  3. Two (2) years: Subwoofers
  4. One (1) year: Soundbars, Powered Speakers, Headphones
  5. Flushmount Speakers: Limited Lifetime

Exceptions

  1. The express warranties set out above do not apply:
    1. If the claim or original purchase was made outside Australia;
    2. If the Klipsch product has not been installed, operated, maintained or used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or specifications provided with the product, including damage caused from user-attached antenna or goods used in an application not fit for purpose such as a commercial application;
    3. Where the damage, defect or other issue is as a result of alterations, accident, misuse or abuse of the product. This includes damage incurred from: fire, flood, lightning, power surges, thunderstorm activity or any other unreasonably extreme environmental conditions; acts of God; unauthorised alterations, repairs or tampering to the product, including attempted or previous repair by an unauthorised repair agent; or exposure to any other condition known to cause damage by an external force;
    4. Parts or labour obtained from any source other than a Klipsch Authorised Service Centre;
    5. If the serial number on the Klipsch product has been altered or removed;
    6. Where the defect or other issue with the product is caused by normal wear and tear, including cabinet or any appearance damage;
    7. If damage or loss arises out of transport of the goods from you to another site;
    8. To replacement or repair of any consumables such as batteries or lost parts and accessories.      

Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim to Westan, please ensure you have the following information:

  • Proof of purchase (copy of invoice or point of sale receipt);
  • A description of the fault;
  • Contact details of the claimant.

Visit the Westan Support Help Centre at www.support.westan.com.au as soon as possible to lodge a ticket and initiate the warranty claim. If the product is deemed to be faulty, it must be delivered to and assessed by an Authorised Service Centre, accompanied with a copy of your proof of purchase. Completion of claims are dependent on availability of replacement parts or product and freight timings.
