BDL - Dragon 1.6 (xxBDL4051D) - Scaler Firmware Update
Download the latest scaler firmware:
In the root directory of a USB disk (formatted in FAT32) place the PHL_xxBDL4051D.bin files.
Pay attention at the bin file, the file name must match the model number of the monitor you need to upgrade.
(Copy the .bin file named after your model from the below link)
Check if the screen is already running the latest Software Version
1. Press info+7+7 on your remote to check the current Software version of the screen
2. Compare it with the version written in the link above (picture below is an example only, the version may have changed to a later versions)
How to upgrade the Scaler Firmware
1. Insert the USB Drive as per the picture below:
2. In the OSD menu, navigate to “Advanced option”, find “Scalar FW Update” and press ok.
3. The display will find the file automatically and start the upgrade
4. When the operation is concluded repower the monitor from the main power (or from the main AC switch on the back of the monitor)
5. Set the burn--in off and perform a factory reset in the factory menu:
a. Press in a sequence on the remote control below buttons:
i. Home 1999 back
ii. Set “burn--in” = off
iii. Select factory reset
iv. When finished AC OFF
PLEASE NOTE THAT PERFORMING AN AC REBOOT (PHISYCALLY REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE DISPLAY) IS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE UPGRADE PROCEDURE. NOT COMPLETING THE PROCEDURE MAY CAUSE UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS.
