xxBDL4051D (Dragon 1.6) - Installing APK and Playing Content From It

Portrait Mounting

This display can be installed in portrait position.
1. If the table stand is attached, remove it first.
2. Rotate the display counter-clockwise by 90°. The “ ” logo should be on the RIGHT side when facing the display.
3. Set the following setting so that the Menu is oriented correctly (Home->Configuration 2->OSD Rotation->)


Updating Screen's Software


Insert the USB Drive as per the picture below


Install the APK

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 [within 2 seconds])
Select “Apps”

Select “File Manager”


Select “mnt” -> Open














Select “usb storage” -> Open


Select the APK file -> Open - > Install

When installation is complete, select “Done”

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.


Configure Screen's Android's Settings


Assign the APK as the “custom” input source

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 [within 2 seconds])

Select “Settings”


Select “Signage Display”

Select “Custom App”


Select “Select App”


Select the APK from the popup list of apps, the select “Save”

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.


Set Date & Time

Enter Android Menu (Press: Home, 1, 8, 8, 8 [within 2 seconds])

Select “Settings”


Select Date & Time

Press: Right NAV and select “Select time zone”


 

Select your local time zone

Press “Back” on the RC several times if you wish to exit the Android menu completely.


Configure Screen's Non-Android Settings

Set screen to automatically turn on after an unplanned power outage.

Home -> Configuration 1 -> Switch on state = Forced On

Home -> Configuration 1 -> Boot on source -> Action

      Input = Custom

Home -> Advanced option -> Power Save = Mode 4

Home -> Advanced option -> Off Timer = 0

Home -> Advanced option -> Date and time

 Set Auto Sync = YES
