BDL4152E Logging In Using NFC

BDL4152E Logging In Using NFC

This is applicable for the BDL4152E EDLA FW version ONLY (Google Play Android version)

To change the firmware from non EDLA version (AOSP) to EDLA version, you need to follow this SOP

Assigning an NFC Tag
On the Settings → Multiple User page, you will find “Add NFC” and “Show NFC” buttons next to each user's name.
1. Press “Add NFC”

2. Hold the NFC tag (to be assigned to that user) near the device's NFC antenna.

3. Click “Save” to store the NFC payload onto the tag, linking it to the corresponding user.

4. Press “Show NFC” to view the saved NFC payload data. Each user can be assigned their own unique NFC tag.

Important Notes
  1. How to Log In: When the user is on the screen lock page (e.g., after pressing the power key), they can hold their assigned NFC tag near the NFC antenna. The system will automatically switch to and log in the corresponding user.
    1. Screen Lock Only: Please note that NFC login is only supported from the screen lock page. It will not work on other unlock screens or during permission requests.
  2. After a Reboot: After the system reboots, you must manually unlock the device to enter the system. NFC unlock cannot be used.
    1. Non-Admin Users & Reboots: If the device was switched to a nonAdmin user account before rebooting, the system will automatically revert to the Admin user profile upon restart. NFC unlock cannot be used.
    2. After a reboot, logging in as any user requires a manual unlock. Even after manually unlocking and logging in as the Admin user, you still cannot use NFC login to switch to other users. At this time, a prompt window will appear, informing you that due to the system reboot, that user must be manually unlocked first before NFC can be used to switch to their account.
